Dharmaraya Swamy Temple

Dharmaraya Swamy Temple is a famous temple situated in Bangalore city. It is unique as it is dedicated to the Pandavas and not found anywhere else in India.

The exact historical background of the city and the history of the temple like the name of the builder, date of construction is not clear.
When we look at the history of the temple, it is believed that the temple was constructed by the Ganga Arasu people. These people also known as Vanniya Kula Kshatriyas had migrated from north Tamil Nadu i.e. the present Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, and Neelagiri areas to the southern Mysore area.

Dodda Ganeshana Gudi

Dodda Basavana Gudi (the Bull Temple) is situated in the N.R. Colony, Basavanagudi, area of South Bangalore, part of the largest city of the Indian state of Karnataka. The Hindu temple is inside the a park called Bugle Rock.

The bull referred to is a sacred Hindu demi-god, known as Nandi; Nandi is a close devotee and attendant of Shiva. Dodda Basavana Gudi is said to be the biggest temple to Nandi in the world. The stone cult image of Nandi is continually covered with new layers of butter, benne in the local language of Kannada. There is a cult image of the elephant-headed Hindu deity son of shiva Ganesha close by.

Hulimavu cave Temple

The Hulimav Cave Temple, also known as the Hulimav Shiva Cave Temple or simply the Cave Temple, is located in Hulimavu, Bannerghatta Road, Karnataka, India, very close to the BGS National Public School. The Cave Temple is administered by the Sri Sri Bala Gangadaraswami Mutt. It is stated that a saint did tapas in the cave for many years and his samadhi is also found inside. One can feel the vibration if one enters the cave and stands before the samadhi.
